Main Project: FotS

An epic fantasy series based in an ancient civilizations setting.

Half a millennium in the past, a catastrophic conflict was ended by a miraculous man known as The Leader and his people. They are no more, but since then the nations of Pentia have known nothing but peace. War is forgotten, a golden age has flourished, and the peace has only strengthened over time.

Yet some twenty years ago, a new people landed on Pentia’s south-western shores. A mysterious race known as the Shora, they possess a violent streak. The five nations of the Pentian League are growing ever more nervous as the Shora, split into two rival factions engaged in an endless, meaningless conflict, appear ready to begin their wars anew.

This story is told from the viewpoint of nine characters, each from a different place, with a unique role to play in the world.

Book 1: Advance of the West (tentative title) is currently a work-in-progress in its first draft, the first of a planned quintet.

Side Project: Project Tango

A science fiction story of the far-future.

On a planet with no middle-class, those with status and wealth have begun to leave their dying home-world. The planet and system’s resources have run dry, and as the lower classes inevitably learn the truth of their doom, they erupt against the ruling class. The conflict creates desperate, uncontrollable chaos on a once thriving world. The choice is simple: leave, or remain to die in a place without a future.

Tango, a young boy who has never known the meaning of home or family, lives in the slum of slums on an industrial, coastal island outside of the big city. To reach the metropolis and the star-ships, Tango, travelling with the low-class rebels, must first attempt to cross the inland sea as they fight for their right of existence; waters filled with terrifying creatures of the deep.

Project Tango is currently in the earliest planning stages. A planned duology, book 1 is titled: To Cross the Water.

Collaboration Fantasy World

Fantasy/adventure stories.

A young and distant human empire seeks to expand into the mountain valleys. The lands possess vital magical resources that could raise the empire to a whole new level of potential — stones that amplify magical energy with unparalleled effectiveness.

However, they are not the first to try and take these lands. All before have failed. The valleys are raw with ancient power, populated by a trinity of formidable humanoid races. There are the oppressive cat-like beings known as the Felids, their hated enemies, the immortal foxes called the Vix, and the Wolf clans. In addition, there are the more populated native races of half-breed Jackals and Humans which live in village feudalism.

The empire knows it can only hope to tame power with power, and has riskily enlisted a few among the native humans. One of these individuals, a devious man named Vermilion, uses the empire and its resources only as pawns for his own dark schemes.

The stories follow a small, mixed band of outlaws, each with very different pasts. Together they are still unsure of what it is their group truly fights for, but to begin, at least one thing binds them: each desires to defeat Vermilion.
