Most of the more popular fantasy novels have a time period setting similar to the dark ages, with knights, chain and plate armour, and castles. I, however, have always been drawn to ancient history, of places like Greece, Rome, Egypt, Babylon, etc.
The time period setting of my own world reflects this and will have a more ancient civilizations feel to what is more typical. It will be of course, however, significantly different and truly one of a kind. This is why I have posted a picture of Alexander the Great, appropriate for the topic and also my favourite historical person. He and one of my main characters share a few similarities, although this character is not modelled after him, by any means.

Are you going to post excerpts?
Eventually, yes. But probably not for a while. I figure that posts will be weekly, and actual content will be down the road.
Fantastic challenge you’ve set yourself. Creating an entire world, or even an entire continent, from inside your mind is exceptionally difficult. It is also a challenge that, when tackled with the level of fidelity you seem to be giving it, will deliver a very real and vivid tale of things which have never been. I am on tenterhooks to see where you go with this – I love the meticulous planning you seem to be giving to the project, and am sure that you will turn out a bestseller
That’s great to hear about your past works and the current project. I fully understand what you mean with the difficulties of creating from scratch. It is especially hard when working hours on the logistics that few readers will fully understand and appreciate that can be boring, yet necessary before moving on to the really fun stuff. I will definitely be reading alongside your progress and all of your posts with interest. Thank you for the praise and best of luck in customizing your site!
